The Department for International Trade (DIT) London, South East and East Region will be hosting a full day of one-to-one meetings with a carefully selected group of international Food & Drink buyers.

Why participate?
Whilst Europe remains one of our largest trading partners for Food & Drink the demand for UK Fine Food and Drink products in Latin America is growing and forecast to be worth £240m by 2020. This event is therefore an opportunity for innovative and/or high growth Food & Drink London, East and South East-based small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) to present their products to international buyers from Mexico, Brazil, France, Germany and Netherlands*, representing distributors, retailers and wholesalers.  Commercial officers from a selection of represented markets will also be present to advise clients on exporting issues relevant to their markets.

Where will the event take place?
The meet-the-buyer event will take place in conjunction with the Speciality & Fine Food Fair, the UK’s leading showcase of fine food and drink that will take place at Olympia London from 1st to 3rd September 2019. Now in its 20th year, the food fair is the most influential annual gathering of artisan, speciality and luxury food and drink producers, manufacturer and distributors.

Who is this event for :
Exporters manufacturing (or brand owner/representatives)  in the following categories:  

  • Biscuits ,Chocolate and Confectionary
  • Cured Meats
  • Condiments & Sauces
  • Snacks / nuts /crisps
  • Dry / Canned / Bottled Goods
  • Free-From / Organic / Health / Vegan & Vegetarian
  • Alcohol and Non-alcoholic drinks

Eligibility criteria :
London, South East and East of England based SMEs who have been trading for a minimum of 12 months 
New to Export (no overseas sales secured) or SMEs with overseas sales and exports to 8 markets or less.

The buyers will confirm the meetings they would like to attend based on the companies profiles.

Due to high demand, only companies selected by the buyers will be contacted for scheduled appointments.

Additional Information:

Places are limited to two delegates per company and must have been trading for a minimum of 12 months. You must be looking to increase your overseas market access. Delegates should be exporters or those new to exporting and is not suitable for agencies or intermediaries for example: translation agencies, web developers/agencies, international business development agencies etc.
