Susana Cordoba

Head of International Trade, Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce

  • Susana is an international trade development expert with over 23 years of experience. Her career started back in her native Colombia working for a global NGO and a children’s clothing manufacturer, exporter, and importer before moving to the UK to work for a blue-chip company. .
  • Susana has successfully managed UK & EU funded projects focus on building institutional capacity of export promotion agencies in developing countries as well as export development programmes aimed at supporting companies to grow their international footprint. She managed projects with a combined budget of over £8 million over 3 yrs period. Through the programmes more than 2,000 companies in the UK received export assistance and over £160 million was generated in export turnover increase.
  • Susana joined Greater Manchester Chamber in 2014, the largest accredited chamber in the UK, as part of an UK Government initiative to promote British exports in high growth markets where she coordinated activity in the North West of England, working alongside the Department for International Trade, UK and overseas British Chambers of Commerce assisting over 1,000 companies in the region. She has been heading the award-winning international trade team for the last 5 years, and during this time the department went from offering only export documentation services to more than 20+ international trade services supporting UK and overseas companies succeed in their internationalization strategies.
