Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council (LCCC) is delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for Lisburn & Castlereagh based SMEs to expand their horizons and build meaningful commercial connections in Great Britain.
The LCCC London Trade Mission is a chance for ambitious businesses to explore new sales channels and develop strategic partnerships which supports growth beyond Northern Ireland and positions local companies on a much bigger stage.
The programme will play a key role in showcasing Lisburn & Castlereagh as an investment‑ready, forward‑thinking destination for business and innovation.

For Lisburn & Castlereagh companies, entering the London market also opens doors to investment, innovation and collaboration with academia, government bodies and established enterprises, driving long‑term economic progress.
The benefits of joining the Trade Mission
Successful applicants will benefit from a phased programme and ongoing tailored wraparound support from an experienced Export Business Adviser (EBA) with specific knowledge of the London market and ecosystem throughout the entire journey and during the Trade Mission. Programme dates:
- Preparation Webinars (all virtual). These sessions are designed to help you prepare for the Trade Mission:
- Tuesday 12 May - Strategic market positioning for the London and English market
- Thursday 14 May - Export regulatory and compliance requirements
- Tuesday 19 May - How to network successfully and post-meeting buyer engagement and conversion
- Pre-mission Workshop - Thursday 21 May (in person in Lisburn)
- Trade Mission to London - Wednesday 27 to Friday 29 May (in person in London)
Who can apply?
The LCCC London Trade Mission 2026 aims to help ambitious Lisburn & Castlereagh based businesses in key sectors such as (but not limited to) agri-food production, digital & creative industries, advanced manufacturing, professional & financial services and green economy to enter the London market, find new opportunities and grow export sales.
To participate in this funded activity, businesses must be:
- Small and medium sized businesses (SMEs) i.e. have:
- fewer than 250 staff (full time equivalent); and
- less than or equal to £44m in annual turnover or a balance sheet total of less than or equal to £38m
- Based or operating in Lisburn & Castlereagh
- Keen to develop sales and/or sourcing opportunities in existing or new markets
A decision maker from the business will be expected to participate in all activities and should be the named applicant.

Places will be allocated following a panel review based on which businesses most align with the suitability criteria.
Successful companies will be notified by Friday 8 May 2026. To confirm your place, a participation fee of £400 (ex VAT) will be obtained from each successful company to contribute towards their involvement in all activities.
All activities and support provided before and during the London Trade Mission, including return flights to London and accommodation for successful applicants, are funded by LCCC.

The London Trade Mission 2026 is a funded offering by Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council (LCCC) and the Department for the Economy.
The programme is delivered and organised by Newable Trade Limited, on behalf of LCCC. As a result, a range of data points must be collected to assess your eligibility to attend this funded programme.
