supplyconnect@newable.co.ukSupply Connect Procurement Club: Social Value in Tendering
About this event
Unlock the power of social value in your tenders
With public sector buyers placing greater emphasis on social value than ever before, knowing how to effectively showcase it in your tenders is no longer optional, it’s essential.
Join Supply Connect and expert speaker, Fareita Udoh, for a dynamic webinar designed to provide SMEs with a practical overview of what the new rules mean in practice. Using real examples, including recent tendering work, we will outline how to interpret the updated Social Value Model and how to build compliant, competitive responses.
Social value is now a core requirement in UK public procurement. With the Procurement Act 2023, Procurement Policy Note (PPN 002 2025) and the updated National Procurement Policy Statement (NPPS) shaping how contracts are awarded, suppliers must be able to demonstrate credible, measurable and deliverable social value.
Participants will gain clarity on:
- The Social Value Model set out in PPN 002 (2025)
- How social value aligns with the Government’s five national missions
- The public benefit objective in section 12 of the Procurement Act
- What contracting authorities look for in delivery plans and KPIs
- Common pitfalls and how to avoid them in tender submissions
