About This Event

The London Business Hub is hosting a dedicated programme of free events celebrating SMEs and entrepreneurial spirit of London's small business community. 

The past 18 months have been challenging for many small businesses across London due to the pandemic and the exit from the EU. Join us to hear from industry experts about how to make your business thrive in the new landscape and find inspiration from London business owners sharing their own insights.London Business Week is designed to support your business with recovery and help to unleash your entrepreneurial talent with a wealth of informative seminars and expert advice on how to finance your business, setting up a digital strategy to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace and reducing net zero emissions.

 

Most of the sessions will be our first in-person events since the pandemic began, you will get the opportunity to network face-to-face with other entrepreneurs, speakers and business leaders in a COVID-safe environment.

Meet 1-2-1 with an expert business adviser

In addition to joining our free seminars, our business advisers will be attending the in-person events on Wednesday and Thursday and will be available to speak to for advice and support for your business. If you are interested in meeting one of our business advisers, please let us know when you apply to attend.

 

Who is this event for?

If you are a London-based small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) or an entrepreneur looking to take your business to the next level, or wanting support for your next phase of recovery, these events are for you. We welcome all backgrounds, industries and levels of seniority. However please note our events are subject to the eligibility criteria below.

These events are in high demand with limited places available – we recommend applying quickly to secure your spot.

 

Eligibility Criteria

The following events for the London Business Week is partly-funded by the European Regional Development Fund's (ERDF) Hub & Spoke Project, as a result a range of data points must be collected to assess your company's eligibility for the event:

  • How Technology Can Help Drive Business Growth
  • Access To Funding & Finance and Getting Paid
  • Net Zero: Why It Is Important For SMEs?
  • Creating an Inclusive Workplace For Your Business
  • Setting Up an Effective Marketing and Branding Strategy for Your Business

Companies must:

  • be based in London
  • be registered in the UK
  • meet the SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises) criteria according to the European SME definition
  • not be "Undertaking in Difficulty" as of 31 December 2019. Please see the definition here
  • not received more than €200,000 in public funds over the last 3 fiscal years

 

Where will these events take place? 

The sessions on Wednesday and Thursday are IN-PERSON events.

These events will be hosted in a central London venue on Chancery Lane (closest tube station: Chancery Lane).
We highly recommend applying quickly as these events are in high demand with limited places available. After your application has been approved, the venue and exact location will be communicated nearer to the date of the event.

You will be able to select the sessions you want to attend on the application form.

Please note, only 60 places are available for each event and the above eligibility criteria apply.

Places are limited to one delegate per company - we highly recommend applying quickly to secure your place. 

Important: If your application is approved, you will be requested to sign an electronic application form to secure your place for these subsidised events.
