About this event
Learn how to understand resistance, deliver feedback effectively and navigate challenging conversations with confidence
You often know when a mentee is stuck before they do. You can see the hesitation, the resistance to feedback or the task that never quite gets done. The challenge is knowing how to respond and having the confidence to start the conversation when it's your turn to lead it.
In this practical webinar, our expert will explore what is really happening when a mentee avoids feedback, pushes back on guidance or continually postpones action. You will learn how to identify the root cause of resistance and respond in ways that build trust, accountability and progress.
You'll also receive COMPASS, a proven seven-step framework for preparing for and managing difficult conversations. Whether you are supporting a mentee through a challenging discussion or need to address an issue directly yourself, COMPASS will help you approach the conversation with clarity and confidence.
By the end of the session, you will
-
Understand the three common reasons mentees resist feedback and what each response is telling you
-
Learn how to identify what your mentee is really reacting to, rather than relying on assumptions
-
Receive COMPASS, a practical seven-step framework for planning and navigating difficult conversations
-
See the framework applied to a real-life mentoring scenario, bringing the approach to life
-
Leave with clarity on the conversation you need to have next and the confidence to have it
